Assessments
This course is based on a 1000 point system. Your grade in this course is determined by several means, so that you have the optimal chance at receiving a grade that properly reflects your effort and mastery of the material. Please note that attendance at lectures is expected, although you do not directly receive points for attendance.

Lab Assignments & Term Project
Students will complete several lab assignments and a comprehensive term project that provide hands-on practice with the covered material.
Quizzes
There will be several multiple-choice, essay, and programming quizzes throughout the semester. Quizzes are generally given through Blackboard; they are open book and open notes but must be taken in class.
Final Exam
The final exam is cumulative and is given during the date and time scheduled by the University Registrar. The final exam is online, open notes, and open book (see rules) and administered through Blackboard. Attendance in class is not required; the exam can be taken from anywhere.
Deadlines & Late Submissions
All submissions must be made on time. There are no extensions given or late submissions allowed.
